To welcome 2022, me and two of my friends decided to celebrate the first day of the year by visiting a michelin spanish restaurant in London, Barrafina.

So, Barrafina is a Spanish Michelin star in Dean Street London.

Barrafina's cuisine is comfortingly familiar, with an appealing little blackboard menu featuring the day's best ingredients - from which it's definitely worth ordering a few dishes like crisp anchovies or octopus with capers. The cuisine is flavorful, creates a lasting impression, and is definitely sharing-friendly for you and your friends.

However, I shall remind you to be careful on your orders because, you may find yourself ordering more plates upon seeing what other people are

eating, which is something that we obviously did.

That day, we arrived around 1.30 pm which is just right before they close for the break, so if you decided to come here, try to come before 3 pm or after 4 pm, and don't mind the queue because the food is super worth it. Inside the restaurant, you will see an L-shaped counter where you can see the main chef, Angel Zapata Martin doing his magic right before your eyes. Though, if you're not lucky enough to get the counter seats, you can still enjoy your food from other seats that face the road.

Anyway, we ordered a few things from the menu that I don't really understand (it's all written in Spanish), they are grilled squid, Pipimientos de Padrón (basically some grilled chillies), Chicken Thigh with Romesco Sauce, Chips with brava sauce and a classic Tortilla. It's safe to say that they are all tasted a m a z i n g, but my favourite would be the grilled squid, ugh I can't explain it enough you have to taste it yourself!
